MOTAL, like the vast majority of nonprofits, depends on individual contributions from people just like you to fulfill
our mission each year. Thank you. We are deeply grateful for your faith in our work and for your generosity. As a
charitable nonprofit we serve the public good. Unlike many organizations, we offer only two direct mail
opportunities a year—one at the holidays (tax year end) and one membership drive (nonprofit fiscal year end). We
respect your valuable time, we watch expenditures closely, and we do not want to flood your mailbox.
MOTAL is an economic force within our community. As a nonprofit, we
devote contributions to our charitable mission. Major tasks are performed by
unpaid volunteers, but the paid work of many other people and organizations
helps us reach goals. Just to mention a few: editor, bookkeeper, webmaster,
scholars, writers, designers, photographer, consultants, and speakers. Others
provide clerical work, social media posting, printing, exhibit storage,
shipping, installation and insurance. Your sustaining monthly membership helps keep us and the community going throughout the year.
